We hope you will join us again this year as Darlene Hepler leads us to "Finding JOY in the Journey." Life is full of ups and downs, highs and lows and a smooth journey is not always promised. We'll study how we can find and keep our Joy during the most difficult of times in our life.

Our verse for the weekend is:
This things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full. -John 15:11

What could be better than gathering with friends studying together in beautiful Amish Country? Looking forward to spending time contemplating Joy during our time together.

Baby Dedication

Baby Dedication

Child dedications are a powerful time for parents to embrace the responsibility they’ve been given by God and to catch a vision of the impact they can make in their child’s life. We make these events special by encouraging the whole family to get involved, having some fun, and occasionally making a dad cry. We want this to be an event parents will always remember.

Child dedications also provide us with an opportunity to express our commitment as a church to helping families raise God-honoring kids. And we count it an honor to be entrusted with that incredible privilege.

We invite all families with children ages 0 – 4 years to participate in the dedication.

If you have a baby or toddler that you would like to include in A Fresh Wind’s Baby Dedication taking place Mother’s Day weekend – May 13th – register today!

This is not child baptism or salvation but a chance for parents to publicly commit their child to Jesus and help lead them to become followers of Christ.

Starting Point: New Believer's Course
Sep

to Nov 15

Starting Point: New Believer's Course

Everything has a starting point--your life, your relationships, your education, your career.

Sometimes we forget that faith has a starting point as well. For some of us, our faith journeys began in childhood as a set of beliefs handed to us by a parent, teacher, or pastor. Maybe you developed a framework of faith based on personal experience. Or maybe you had no faith at all. Too often, a faith formed in childhood isn't strong enough to withstand the pressures of adult life.

But what if you could find a new starting point for faith?

Welcome to Starting Point -- an 8-session small group conversation about faith. Whether you're new to faith, curious about God, or coming back to church after some time away, it's a place where your opinions and beliefs are valued, and no question is off limits.

During the eight sessions, you will:

  • Reflect on central questions of faith and life, using the Starting Point Conversation Guide.
  • Watch a video component each week to spur discussion.
  • Explore and share what you're learning with other people in a conversational environment.

Come as you are and build relationships with others as you discover your starting point.

Sessions Include:

1. Start
2. Problem
3. Trust
4. Rules

5. Jesus
6. Grace
7. Faith
8. Invitation

Share Your Faith Workshop

Using the five fingers on your hand, Share Your Faith Workshops from Evangelism Explosion International (EE) introduces a Gospel presentation that’s easy to learn and hard to forget.

EE gives you the most comprehensive tool to share your faith. In one Share Your Faith Workshop you’ll:

  • Learn a method of sharing the Gospel you will not easily forget.
  • Be given a tool you will use the rest of your life!
  • Receive a tool that never leaves your side.
  • Catch a renewed vision and enthusiasm for winning others to the Lord.
  • Renew your passion for witnessing with a glimpse of the heart of God.
  • Discover ways to cultivate friendships into opportunities to share the Gospel.

A “hands-on” approach to sharing your faith

One of the main reasons believers don’t share their faith is that they feel ill-prepared. Through a Share Your Faith Workshop, the hand becomes a simple memory tool you use to share a Gospel presentation that has proven effective in every nation of the world. Each finger represents a key point of the Gospel.

Share Your Faith Workshops also help you discern where God is working and show you how to join Him in it. You’ll learn how to engage people spiritually and pleasantly. No more arguments, and no more pressure.

Registration is $20 per person (includes Chic-fil-A lunch).
